Women in Green Transition Summit
Save the date for an insightful event in the mere days of September 2024! The 'Women in Green Transition Summit' aims to address the challenges faced by women in European entrepreneurship by fostering cross-border collaboration.

Despite ongoing efforts, women's participation in entrepreneurship across Europe remains disproportionately low. Only about a third of businesses in Europe are run by women, facing issues such as restricted access to networks, role models, or mentors.

The 'Women in Green Transition Summit' digs into why. Is it because of contrasting societal expectations, differences between men and women, and unfair structures? Or is it more complicated than that?

Against the backdrop of pressing environmental challenges, the event emphasizes the unmistakable role of women in advancing renewable energy and climate innovation. The summit serves as a crucial platform to address challenges, explore solutions, and empower women to wield transformative influence not only in business but also in shaping a sustainable future for our planet.

Location, location, location:
We will convene in a distinctive venue, in line with the inspiring, vibrant and collaborative atmosphere we are trying to create. Watch this space (literally!)

We are committed to:
- Showcasing the gender component of the EEA and Norway Grants through Innovation Norway-funded projects.
- Strengthening partnerships among Romanian, Norwegian, and Icelandic women-led initiatives.
- Encouraging cross-border collaboration and knowledge exchange.
- Providing insights for potential future programming focusing on female entrepreneurship.
- Explore synergies with wider entrepreneurship flagship events such as Oslo Innovation Week.

Anticipating around 90 participants, the event will bring together diverse organizations, including Romanian-led initiatives alongside Norwegian and Icelandic women-led initiatives such as Women in Energy. Attendees also include government representatives, financial institutions, and press from Romania, Norway, and Iceland.
