The project financed by Norway led to the development of new products such as biochar, wood vinegar, wood oil and cellulosic alcohol, further utilizing and reducing wood waste, and ultimately contributing to a substantial CO2 reduction in their production processes.
The products have a wide range of applications and are mainly used in agriculture as pesticides and fertilisers. Biochar helps improve the farming productivity for organic and bio-farmers.
