Romania: Eco-friendly production of ceramic coatings
With over 52 years’ experience in the industry of construction materials, CEMACON is the most important player with full Romanian capital on the Romanian market.
Through the EEA and Norway Grants, CEMACON is becoming more environmentally friendly and increases its competitiveness by building and operating a new production line for ceramic coatings which is better for the environment. A new hall and state-of-the-art equipment will be purchased, needed for the 6 stages of production of the ceramic coating, including two electric forklifts.
Cooperation with Norway
CEMACON partnered with International Development Norway, a Norwegian organisation with more than 20 years’ experience in international projects for the development of good practices in the eco-business area. In this sense, the partnership will contribute to the development of a durable concept for the purposes of increasing the competitiveness of CEMACON through the establishment of ‘green’ production processes and the transformation of activities on the basis of LEAN production methodology.
In project execution, the Norwegian entity uses its network of Norwegian and international experts for high-level competence tasks to secure successful projects and provide a meaningful contribution to its projects globally, including in Romania. The Norwegian partner’s contribution will include ownership of the whole project lifecycle, from idea phase, design, management, expert tasks, and reporting/closing.
