Access to Affordable Legal Advice in Romania through the EEA and Norway Grants
Connecting Clients and Lawyers Instantly
Innovation Norway: The project aims to address the challenge of clients struggling to find relevant legal advice at a reasonable fee. How do you see Quick Legal making a tangible difference in this regard?
Luminita Busuricu (Quick Legal): Quick Legal's journey began with a vision to revolutionise the legal industry and provide affordable legal advice to those who need it most. Thanks to the instrumental support of the EEA and Norway Grants, this vision became a reality. Our platform instantly connects clients with a diverse pool of over 120 lawyers. Clients can now compare fee proposals, have a 15-minute free chat with their chosen lawyer, and conduct their legal affairs entirely online in a virtual office.
Reducing Costs with Automation and AI
Innovation Norway: - The introduction of a robo-lawyer using artificial intelligence is a significant advancement. Could you elaborate on how this feature works and how users will interact with it to obtain legal information and advice?
Luminita Busuricu (Quick Legal): Quick Legal's vision extended far beyond connecting clients with lawyers. We aspired to reduce the costs of legal services through automation of repetitive tasks and the development of an AI-powered "robo-lawyer." This ambitious step became attainable and the robo-lawyer, currently in development, promises to be a game-changer by providing cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or expertise. This initiative, made possible by the EEA and Norway Grants, will democratise access to legal knowledge, particularly benefiting individuals with limited resources who might otherwise struggle to engage traditional legal services.
Empowering Women in Law and Technology
Quick Legal is not only innovative but also proudly women-led, a testament to the unique perspectives and contributions of female leaders in the legal and technology fields. The EEA and Norway Grants played a crucial role in nurturing and empowering these leaders.
Innovation Norway: Women-led initiatives often bring unique perspectives to their fields. How do you believe the leadership of women in Quick Legal has influenced the platform's development and the services it offers?
Luminita Busuricu (Quick Legal): As a women-led startup, we embrace diverse perspectives, fostering collaboration and innovation. With a joint experience of 25 years in the legal field, as female founders, we hope to have become visible role models for Romanian women and girls pursuing careers in law, entrepreneurship, and technology. The Grants helped Quick Legal launch initiatives like the Select USA Global Women in Tech and Prospera Women in Romania.
Global Recognition and Learning
Representing Quick Legal abroad, in Silicon Valley and Washington DC, has been an eye-opening experience for the founders, made possible by the support of the EEA and Norway Grants. They not only shared their insights but also learned valuable lessons from the more advanced legal tech market in the United States.
Luminita Busuricu (Quick Legal): Through the EEA and Norway Grants, we had the chance to participate at StartUpGrind Global Conference Sillicon Valley, where we were selected among the top 10% startups from around the world! The participation was very beneficial, as we succeeded to showcase the product functionalities, connect with five venture capital firms that have previously invested in tech solutions that changed the world we live in and find three strategic partners that will enable our expansion to Western Europe and US".
User-Friendly Access to Legal Advice
To illustrate how Quick Legal works in practice, consider two scenarios:
Scenario 1: Tenant's Rights
Imagine a tenant who wants to know if they can terminate a lease agreement without penalty. The process is simple:
- Ask the legal question on the platform.
- Select one of the three fee proposals received from lawyers.
- Have a free chat with the selected lawyer and conclude the contract.
Scenario 2: Debt Recovery for a Company
A company wants to recover outstanding debt. The user follows these steps:
- Insert details about the debt, including the amount, due date, and contract information.
- The automated process generates a customized claim to be submitted in court for debt recovery.
The feedback from clients speaks volumes
Alexandru A., GlobalWorker SRL: I recommend Quick Legal to any business owner in search of specialized top legal advice, but at prices decreased by 2 times compared to traditional law firms. I have found lawyers specialized in Corporate law, Real Estate, or Employment, everything online.
Cristian T., Bullet ID: The accessible fees, combined with the expertise of the lawyers that helped me recover unpaid receivables, online in a virtual office, made everything much easier for me. Many thanks!
Thanks to the support of the EEA and Norway Grants, Quick Legal is not only bridging the gap between legal services and clients but is also pioneering a new era of accessible, affordable, and efficient legal advice. Their commitment to innovation and empowerment, fueled by the Grants, is transforming lives and empowering individuals and businesses to navigate the legal terrain with confidence.
