Bulgaria: Industrial future with help from Norway
The company from Sofia and Kongsberg Terotech has received support from Norway to deliver software within Industry 4.0.
Green Monitor
The product is called Green Monitor and is being developed through a collaboration between a software development environment in Sofia, modern industry in Kongsberg and the expert community at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). The project started with ICB Bulgaria taking the initiative to apply for support from Norway Grants.
Green Monitor is intended to make production more efficient and environmentally friendly by monitoring equipment used in technical maintenance and production environments. The solution can be used on all devices such PCs, tablets and mobile phones.
Cooperation with Kongsberg Terotech
The product was tested in companies in Sofia and in production locations in Kongsberg. The goal is to see whether information from machine control and sensors for oil, energy, vibration and cutting liquid can change the current processes for both the production and technical maintenance of the machine.
"The support from Norway Grants has been vital in starting up such a large development project, which has become an important contribution to the development of Industry 4.0 products from Bulgaria, but also for the environment in Norway, which is a potential market," says Jarle Gjøsæther, the general manager of Kongsberg Terotech.
The project has now been presented at several national conferences and customers are enquiring about buying the product.
